Acrylic on Gallery Canvas 24 x 18 $ 800.00 CAD Sold
The painting of birch trees is a long time favorite of mine. Inspired by photographs taken by my Mother over 40 years ago. She passed away in 1994 but left a collection of photographs that restarted my creative journey. I focused on warm tones of yellow, orange and brown suggesting fall foliage with contrasting darker areas creating depth. While working on the painting I liked that Sara said it captured the beauty and transience of the natural landscape. I decided to enhance that as much as I could.
You can see this painting at the following Events this summer
APRIL 12th, 2025 at the Federation of Canadian Artists Juried show at the Haysboro community center
MAY 2,3 4th 2025 at my Open STUDIO in Ramsay (Burns Visual Art Society Building) The Calgary Artists Studio Tour
