Annual Studio Tour
Three days in May Studio Tour 2024
What an inspirational couple of days! Though I participate in 20+ art shows each year; having art lovers in my space are always the best days. Thank you all for coming. The winning entry for the door prize was picked by my husband at the end of the weekend; and Ruth now has a 'Schaetzle' original to add to her collection. Gratitude to those who purchased art over the weekend; for yourself and as a gift; we now share an item that brings joy to all our lives.
I hope you continue to follow my journey of living a creative life. Occasional newsletters, with show announcements and new art images, or on IG @schaetzle.artworks.
You might ask what inspired me more than other art lovers in my space. The great Canadian outdoors; (also the title of a new series!). My upbringing was in northern New Brunswick, a family of five girls; we spent our time outdoors. We had a big camp; (actually 2 bedroom, one with bunkbeds) and a beautiful wood burning stove. Thankfully Dad lite the stove each morning. Dad was a hunter, and we all fished a little. Picked nuts off the trees, and blueberries off the bushes. Ran and played in the yard mostly.
As an adult, when I was outdoors I found I was taking a lot of photos of the same images; but they never left my Iphone or my memory stick. It was from that realization that I started painting those images. You might have a cell phone full of photos too. It is your collection of what you love. Maybe we love the same things. When your ready to turn one of those photos into an original painting that you can enjoy everyday; message me.
Until the next Studio Tour, you can find my art at several summer events or book an appointment by emailing me through my website to visit STUDIO #106
